Canvas print design of a hairdryer in monochrome, A1 size (59cmx84cm), produced using original photography and CAD (photoshop) available for sale for £50
Born in York, I graduated from Teesside University in 2009, with a BA (Hons) Textiles and Surface Design. For my Final Major Project, I was influenced by 1950s America, concentrating my designs on Diners, Motels, Cars and pieces of electrical appliances including radios, jukeboxes and hairdryers.
Using original drawings, silk screen printing, own photography, I developed my designs using layers, weight of colour, composition and working with different media. My work is also inlfuenced by American and British Pop art, inlcuding Andy Warhol, Tom Wessleman, David Hockney and Richard Hamilton.
Through experimenting in silk screen printing and photoshop (CAD) enabled me to learn new techniques and skills using a wide ranage of mixed media.
